History

Nicholas and Mary Gattozzi founded Gattozzi Funeral Home in the Cleveland, Ohio, neighborhood of Collinwood in 1946. In 1972, under the direction of Nicholas Jr. and Rose Marie Gattozzi, we expanded to our current location, Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home in Chester Township. Funeral directors Jerry Ritola and Jay Jones joined in 1992 and 1997, respectively, bringing more than 60 combined years of experience serving families in need.

In 1999, we became part of the Dignity Memorial network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers, assuring our clients an even higher level of customer satisfaction backed by attention from a locally based team.

The Gattozzi family began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history we have continued to maintain that standard. The team at Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home upholds a longstanding heritage and commitment to our community.
